From Singapore, we took a business class coach en route to Kuala Lumpur.

or “Emergency exit” in English

Inside: a TV (which is a source of entertainment during the long-haul ride) a bottled water and a pasta for dinner. (both were provided by an attendant)

Conquering 272 steps to reach the Batu Caves. (Unfortunately, I got scared of climbing for I was wearing my black loose flats then.)

(Photo by my aunt) Haha, so I was the last one standing. :D Nevertheless, steps conquered!

I spent the Halloween in Turkey with the family and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Before, I was too afraid to explore this country due to the thought that people here are strict. But this country proved me wrong. Even if 97.8 % of the population is Muslim, they are known as the most liberal amongst Islamic nations. Turkish people are extremely hospitable and inquisitive, if they bump into you on the streets and notice that you look different, they will approach you and ask, “Where are you from? :)” Those simple encounters gave me another reason to be proud of being ASIAN. Even though, I wasn’t able to hit the shopping malls during the tour, I’m extremely satisfied that Istanbul left an impact to my life :)
